Austin Allergy Machine Fan and Motor Assembly The allergy machine is built on the same chasis as the Austin Air HM-400. Austin Air has manufactured the HM-400 for over 12 years. Austin Allergy Machine Filter Assembly The Allergy Machine substitutes the HEPA and carbon / zeolite filter drum found in the Austin Healthmate with a HEGA (High Efficiency Gas Adsorption) filter drum. The HEGA media is impregnated with carbon for greater odor and gas adsorption. The Austin Air Allergy Machine is ideal for environments with large amounts of odors and gases such as smoke and volatile organic chemicals. The Allergy Machine is excellent for homes and offices up to 1500 sq. ft. In addition to True Medical HEPA, the Allergy Machine contains a military carbon cloth (HEGA - High Efficiency Gas Adsorption).
